Issues /Immigration: Built by Immigrants, Made for All
Immigrants are the backbone of America’s story—builders, dreamers, caregivers, creators, and innovators. Amanda Pusczek believes that our immigration system should reflect the best of our values: welcoming, just, and built for opportunity. It’s time to move beyond fear and division toward policies rooted in respect, inclusion, and economic strength.
Our plan focuses on four key priorities to uplift immigrant communities and strengthen our country as a whole:
Empowering Immigrant Entrepreneurs & Workers
We will remove barriers to small business ownership for immigrants. Expand access to capital, training, and mentorship. Defend fair wages and worker protections across all industries
Attracting & Retaining Global Talent
We will expand pathways for high-skilled workers and students; reversing current administrations restrictive policies. Reinvigorate work visa programs to meet workforce needs including areas of science, medicine, and tech. Embrace immigrants as essential contributors to economic growth allowing for increased tax revenue and strengthening of social services
Supporting Families & Community Stability
We will accelerate the legal immigration and naturalization process by increasing judge appointments to address COVID era backlogs. Prioritize keeping families together and ending cruel separations. Reverse immigration policies that place international refugees at risk
Investing in Integration & Opportunity
We will fund language access and citizenship preparation programs.Support immigrant-serving schools and community organizations. Promote civic engagement and leadership in immigrant communities
